Food Drive:
In a district where nearly 50% of students qualify for free and reduced lunch prices, for some students the last meal of the week comes on Friday in the form of a government-aided free lunch from the school cafeteria. To combat this problem, the Maplewood Richmond Heights School District created Weekend on Wheels (WOW). Each Friday, MRH high school students pack boxes of nutritious food, and MRH teachers and staff deliver the boxes to food-insecure families in the district. They accept non-perishable food items but a few items they need more of:
  •  cereal or oatmeal
  • canned meats
  • pasta and sauce
  • peanut butter
  • canned fruit
  • beans
  • healthy snacks- granola bars, nuts
  • Ziploc bags (gallon size)
  • Breakfast Items
  • Peanut Butter
  •  Jelly
We will have a donation drop off site and all of the donations will be dropped off to MRH on Dec 23rd. For every can (or box) of food you bring from the list, you will get a raffle slip to win a FREE MASSAGE!
