2025 has been a year of intense transition.

A season of Reweaving

(Save these emails for easy searching “Reweaving” in your inbox)

These are weird times to be living in. A lot of things matter to a lot of people, as they should. And everyone is stressed out. I sense this low-lying undertone of WTF with most of my clients. They may not say it out loud but their body is communicating.

This is why group class matters. Community matters. Mutual aid matters. And supporting each other matters more than ever.

And something you can do right now to help yourself and your community is learn about your body so that you can gauge when something is amiss or when tending to needs to happen. You’re worthy and valuable to understand yourself to this degree.

It’s time to start looking for what is coming next. Either in our culture or our jobs or the way we relate to each other. We can do this. I’m doing this. In my own life and also within this bodywork community I am cultivating.

It has been my dream for years to bring people together. And it’s slowly happening with Body Wisdom. I love seeing people interact through movement and exploration of their vessel. It brings me so much joy. Even moreso, I see evolution happening. (The first 1/2 of 2026 is on the schedule so get signed up.)

Evolution (or Reweaving) is happening with me too.

I will always see Barefoot Massage as an entry point to working with me. And now it’s time to sink deeper into care, tending, and emerging. I’m not waiting for someone to tell me what to do. I’m moving toward what’s calling me and what I know is needed during this time.

And that’s deeper connection with the people ready for that. People who are already curious about how to move through stress that we feel all around us.

Are you that person? Let’s do this!

And I’ve told myself, I’m not allowed to take anymore classes until I put more of these things into action within my practice. That won’t stop me from devouring books though. (Side note: My book list of this year is much shorter than years prior because of health things and classes.) The past few months I’ve been sitting with how to create services that deepen what I’ve known to be true but haven’t felt bold enough to move toward.

How does culture affect our body? And how does our body affect culture?

I am learning to manage this years health complications and I’ve had to bend and flex to make room for this. My family and my clients and my students (literally, a few of them had to witness a panic attack on the back deck back in April) have had to be flexible and relate with me in new ways. I will survive, it’s not terminal even though it felt like that several times. And I’ve seen so-many-specialists. And soon I’ll tell you what’s been working and what hasn’t. It may surprise you.

I’ve traversed many diagnoses with my clients over the years. I’ve sat with clients as they have birthed babies and received cancer diagnosis, and I even sat with one lovely human as she died.

The strength and vulnerability I’ve seen in them padded my own recent health experience. I’ve had practice in receiving scary news through others. After ruling out many things this year and seeing so many specialists, I feel I’m on the other side with some wisdom to carry.

In Mother Circle, we share the story of Innana and her descent into the Underworld. In this context, we’re referring to birth as an underworld experience but I’ve found (and written about) many different kinds of underworld journeys. One of the pieces that we need more light on is what happens after the underworld—the ascent back to the overworld. (I’m speaking in metaphor right now) And that’s where the gifts live to share with the people around.

That’s the client that I’ve been with as they’ve experienced hard times. I’ve received their gift they were so generously sharing with me without knowing I was receiving, too. (so much more to say on this return of giving and receiving soon)

I’ve been in the healing world in some capacity since I was 16 years old. I took my first Reiki class way back then. I’ve seen a ton of trends come and go and I’ve changed a lot as a professional. The last few years, I’ve spent a lot of time back in class learning more about our bodies and that led me to learn about culture. And how our culture affects our stress and our healing.

Through transparent and safe-enough* spaces, I hope to deliver an experience that inspires and moves you toward healing and wholeness.

*Safe spaces are rarely an actuality. I say “Safe-enough” here because I want you to know my intention is to create a place for you to feel safe-enough to rest. Safe enough to release. And safe-enough for you to tell me when you aren’t feeling safe.

Thank you for reading. It means the world.

Remember, a one-word reply to this email does wonders for email deliverability. I also love to hear from the ones reading this. Plus, I like to know I’m not just yelling into a void when I send these. 🙂 You can also like, share, and comment on social media. It all helps us small biz folks.

The plant wall needs refilled.
Supporting life inevitably comes with death. It’s all part of the cycle. And while I do everything to keep these plant babies alive, sometimes they are just finished.

What is the Radical Plant Wall?

It’s a place where you get to show your gratitude for the healing that happens in my room beyond your appointment. Your efforts and intentions are infused into every session through love, intention, and maybe a little magic.

Thank you for being here.
