Why massage therapy makes the best gift:
- The gift that keeps on giving. Do you have a boss that’s a bit uptight? How about a mother in law that won’t get off your back? Providing them with a relaxing massage may just be the trick to have them loosen up. Most people leave our studio stunned at how quickly and deeply they relaxed in an hour!
- Show your appreciation. On the flip side, you may have a few people in your life who leave your heart forever imprinted with their goodness. Why shouldn’t they deserve to relax and reset?
- Think of the people who have everything. You know those people, the ones who when they want something, they just go and buy it. When it comes to gift giving season, they are hard to buy for because everything you would get for them, they already have! I love to buy services for those people. They may already be receiving massage but are they receiving barefoot massage? And I’ve never known anyone to complain about an extra massage!
- Remember the service people! Mail deliverers, garbage people, recycling service, car mechanics, etc etc! The list goes on! My husband works in the service department at a car dealership and people give him gifts when they feel he’s gone above and beyond to take care of them. We need to be doing more of that. My husband feels so fulfilled when he receives little tokens of gratitude like this. Also, let’s be real here, the people who deliver your mail and pick up your trash work really hard! I’ve worked with people who deliver mail and they walk for MILES! Those legs need some rejuvenation! You may not know your delivery person very well but I can almost guarantee they will love a massage.
Look back over 2016, who affected you? In good ways or in bad? Who brought you dinner when you were too tired to cook? Who listened to you cry when something terrible happened? Who made you cry? Who made your life tough for a couple or weeks or months? Who helped you through the hard times? Considering gifting a massage to them this holiday season.
I know it may be hard to consider gifting someone who did you wrong a massage. But, I encourage you to take the high road and see how sharing love will make you feel better. And if it doesn’t, you can also remember that we’re stepping on them 😉
