If you’re like me, you haven’t received a massage in a year.. what does that mean for your body today?
As I’ve started seeing clients, here’s what I’ve learned.
- Clients need different pressure than they used to receive
- Lifestyles are changed and require a progressive massage approach.
That doesn’t apply to everyone. And every session is tailored to the needs of that day. But it’s fascinating to this anatomy nerd/stress specialist.
Most of us have wildly different lifestyles than we did a year ago. And, we are all interpreting and processing stress differently now. We have a new “collective stress” to contend with while also handling our own personal stress.
Naturally, your body will process massage therapy differently as well. Do you remember your first massage? I’m sure your 5th massage felt way different than the 1st. We have to ease you back into a balanced place.
And that involves communication and adjusting our approach as we go along.
Stress can come from different areas of your life yet processed or felt in different ways for different people. One person may experience confusion or distracting thoughts. Another may feel tension in their body yet feel completely relaxed in their mind.
We work together to discover what that is for you so that you can notice your own stress to let it go–when you’re ready.
Sometimes it’s scary to let go of stress too quickly or too haphazardly. Let’s coax and soothe your body through a peaceful way to move with ease.
And if you’re worried or concerned about the length of time it’s been, I can assure you we will figure out what you need together.
When you’re ready, schedule here.
